Is your skin now dry and cracked by observing proper hygiene? (BTW, thank you for doing so!)
Frequent hand washing can take a toll on the skin as it depletes natural moisture and oil that keep the skin healthy. This can leave the skin red, irritated, and patchy.
So what do we do? ...
1. Reduce bath time to 5-10 minutes and treat the skin gently by using an unscented and mild soap.
2. Minimize the use of loofah or scrub to at least twice a week as this removes the skin's protective layer.
3. After bathing, immediately apply lotion or moisturizer to the skin while it is still damp to lock in moisture. This will help repair skin damage and soothe cracks on the skin.
